Four individuals are now facing charges after a viral incident in which they rode horses through a Walmart store in Baker, Louisiana. The event, which occurred on April 8, was captured on video and quickly spread across social media platforms, including TikTok.
The footage, shared by a Walmart employee, shows three men and a teenage boy entering the store on horseback, lingering near the self-checkout area for approximately 20 seconds, and then proceeding toward the back of the store. One of the riders was seen filming the escapade on his phone. A worker in the video can be heard remarking, “They ain’t supposed to come in here like that. They’re gonna scare the s–t out of somebody.”
The Baker Police Department issued a public request for information regarding the riders, who later turned themselves in. The individuals identified are BRENDON BRIDGEWATER, 24; PATRICK DEROZAN, 22; MASON WEBB, 18; and a 16-year-old boy. They are charged with entering and remaining after forbidden, unlawful posting of criminal activity, and disturbing the peace, according to The Advocate in Baton Rouge.
Under Louisiana law, it is illegal to post or livestream a crime for the purpose of gaining notoriety or publicity, which led to the charge of unlawful posting of criminal activity.
This incident follows a similar occurrence where brothers rode horses through a Taco Bell drive-thru, highlighting a trend of unconventional and disruptive behavior in public spaces.
