DENTON LOUDERMILL JR., KANSAS MAN WRONGFULLY ACCUSED IN KANSAS CITY CHIEFS RALLY SHOOTING, PASSES AWAY

DENTON LOUDERMILL JR., a Kansas man wrongfully accused of involvement in the deadly shooting at a rally celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory last year, has died, his attorney confirmed. The 49-year-old Olathe resident was found dead on Friday morning by his family, according to FOX 4 Kansas City.

Loudermill was briefly detained but never charged in connection with the chaos following the February 14, 2024, shooting outside Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri. The incident claimed the life of a prominent DJ and left over 20 others injured, including several children. Despite being cleared of any wrongdoing, Loudermill faced false allegations on social media, including claims he was an illegal immigrant.

In response, Loudermill filed lawsuits against three Republican Missouri state senators and a Tennessee congressman for sharing posts that falsely implicated him. However, these cases were dismissed primarily due to jurisdictional issues, as reported by The Associated Press.

Attorney ARTHUR BENSON confirmed Loudermill’s passing, while another lawyer, LARONNA LASSITER SAUNDERS, has yet to respond to inquiries. In a since-deleted Facebook post, Saunders urged respect for the family’s privacy during this difficult time. She emphasized that while the family mourns, the fight for justice is far from over.

“Mr. Loudermill should not have spent his final days burdened with stress and chasing down a lie that went viral due to the careless and heartless actions of a Congressman, Missouri senators, and social media influencers, who couldn’t be bothered to verify the truth before destroying a man’s life,” Saunders wrote. “If you thought we were determined before, you haven’t seen anything yet!”

The cause of Loudermill’s death has not been disclosed. His family continues to grieve the loss of a man who endured immense scrutiny and false accusations in the aftermath of the tragedy.
