On Saturday evening, a 63-FOOT TECNOMAR FOR LAMBORGHINI, a luxury yacht valued at $4 million, began taking on water off the coast of Miami Beach. The incident occurred near Flager Monument Island, a popular man-made island in Miami’s Biscayne Bay.

RESCUE OPERATION

32 PASSENGERS were successfully rescued from the sinking vessel. Emergency responders, including the U.S. COAST GUARD and the MIAMI BEACH FIRE DEPARTMENT, swiftly arrived at the scene. All rescued individuals were assessed and reported no injuries, according to a spokesperson from the MIAMI BEACH POLICE DEPARTMENT.

INVESTIGATION AND RECOVERY

Commercial salvage efforts are underway to recover the vessel. The U.S. COAST GUARD confirmed that the yacht does not pose a hazard to navigation. Authorities also extended gratitude to nearby boat operators who assisted in the rescue. Preliminary reports indicate that the vessel was carrying twice its recommended capacity. The TECNOMAR FOR LAMBORGHINI is designed for a maximum of 16 passengers, as specified by the LAMBORGHINI MIAMI website.

The incident occurred during the MIAMI GRAND PRIX, part of the FORMULA ONE calendar, which attracts hundreds of thousands of fans annually. The FLORIDA FISH AND WILDLIFE CONSERVATION COMMISSION is investigating the cause of the yacht’s sinking. Additional agencies, including the MIAMI-DADE FIRE RESCUE DEPARTMENT, assisted in the operation.LAMBORGHINI has yet to comment on the incident.
